through northern Tanzania
This is not just a safari; it is a carefully paced narrative. Each day reveals a different character of Africa — from the active volcanic slopes of Ol Doinyo Lengai to the fossil‑rich plains of Olduvai, from encounters with Hadza bushmen to the wildlife‑dense crater floor.
Arusha
— the safari capital
Met upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport. After clearing customs, your representative drives you to Arusha town. The adventure begins with a gentle immersion into Tanzanian warmth.
Tarangire
Vast herds of elephants under ancient baobabs. Wildebeest, zebra, and predators follow the Tarangire River. A game tour with packed lunch, then evening drive to the lodge.
Lake Natron & Ol Doinyo Lengai
Drive through Maasai villages, ruins of Engaruka. Evening at the soda lake with flamingos. After dinner, prepare for a midnight climb of the active volcano.
Lake Natron
After breakfast, visit a Maasai boma, then trek to a waterfall (bring swimwear!). Learn about the lesser flamingos that breed here.
Engaresero to Karatu
Morning visit to the Engaresero footprints and natural pool. After lunch, drive to the lush highlands of Karatu.
Lake Eyasi – Hadzabe & Datoga
Meet the Hadzabe bushmen, hunter‑gatherers of Lake Eyasi. Learn tracking, medicinal plants, and visit Datoga homesteads.
Ngorongoro Crater
Descend into the world’s largest intact caldera. Wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, and the endangered black rhino. Lions laze by the lake.
Ndutu plains
Southern Serengeti ecosystem. During calving season, thousands of wildebeest and zebra dot the short grass.
Ndutu again
Another full day to explore the shifting herds and the resident lion prides that thrive on the abundance.
Serengeti – Seronera
Central Serengeti’s endless plains. Lions on kopjes, leopards in acacia. Two full days to absorb the rhythm of the wild.
Olduvai Gorge & Lake Manyara
Morning game drive, then depart Serengeti. Optional visit to Olduvai Gorge. Continue to Lake Manyara.
Lake Manyara & departure
Enter Lake Manyara National Park. Famous for tree‑climbing lions, giant flocks of flamingos. Afternoon drive to Arusha, then transfer to the airport.
