Zanzibar
where history meets turquoise
Stone Town’s labyrinthine alleys, the scent of cloves and vanilla, coral beaches lapped by Indian Ocean tides — an archipelago of contrasts, where culture and relaxation intertwine.
A dream to explore & unwind
Known as the Spice Island, Zanzibar is bursting with culture and history, seemingly at odds with its idyllic geography of white‑sand beaches and swaying palms. Together, this makes it a fabulous place to explore as well as a dream to relax. From the sultan’s palace to the turtle conservation areas, every corner tells a story.
Labyrinth of legends
Winding streets, high townhouses, the Sultan’s Palace, House of Wonders, Portuguese fort, Turkish baths — a UNESCO World Heritage Site that has remained unchanged for centuries. Walk where merchants, sultans, and explorers once trod.
Spice tours
Visit working plantations and observe the cultivation of cloves, vanilla, nutmeg, cinnamon, and other spices that made the island famous. Taste, smell, and learn from local farmers.
Beaches of two tides
East coast: waves break over coral reefs, low tide reveals starfish and anemones. North coast: ocean swimming less affected by tides, smooth white sand. West coast: Mangapwani slave caves, nearby islands for day trips.
Menai Bay & Jozani Forest
Menai Bay Conservation Area protects endangered sea turtles. Jozani Forest is home to the rare Red Colobus monkeys, plus other primates and antelopes. Chole Island Marine Park offers snorkeling and island escapes.
