Our policies
Transparency, responsibility, and respect — for our guests, our team, and the wild places we call home.
Policies that protect people & planet
As Tanzanian owners, we hold ourselves to the highest standards. These policies reflect our values: fair treatment of staff, low-impact tourism, and honest dealings with every guest.
Privacy policy
We collect only necessary personal data (name, email, passport details) for bookings and visas. We never sell or share your information with third parties except when required for your travel (flights, lodges, immigration).
GDPR compliant · Secure servers
Sustainability
We operate a strict leave-no-trace policy. Our vehicles use solar charging, we avoid single-use plastics, and we support anti-poaching initiatives. We offset carbon emissions through local tree-planting projects.
Plastic‑free since 2022
Child protection
We do not support orphanage tourism or any activity that exploits children. We follow international child protection guidelines. Family safaris are designed to be safe, educational, and respectful to local communities.
Fair employment
All staff (guides, drivers, porters) receive fair wages, overtime pay, and annual leave. We provide gear for porters (jackets, boots) and ensure they work in humane conditions — a rarity in the industry.

Wildlife ethics
We maintain respectful distances from animals, never chase or corner them, and follow national park rules. No off-road driving except in designated areas. We do not support walking with lions or elephant rides.
Inclusivity
We welcome everyone regardless of race, religion, sexual orientation, or nationality. Our safaris are LGBTQ+ friendly. We treat every guest with the same warmth — hakuna matata.
Protecting the wild
Every safari is designed to leave the bush as we found it — untouched, except for footprints.
Policy highlights
📸 Photography & drones
Personal photography is encouraged. Drone use requires a special permit from Tanzanian authorities — we can assist. Never disturb wildlife for a shot.
🧳 Baggage & personal items
We recommend soft-sided duffels (max 15kg per person on small aircraft). We are not liable for loss or damage; travel insurance is essential.
🚭 Smoking & alcohol
Smoking is prohibited in vehicles and near wildlife. Drink responsibly — our guides reserve the right to refuse service if safety is compromised.
💬 Feedback & complaints
We value honest feedback. If something isn't right, tell your guide immediately. Post-trip, we welcome reviews and suggestions to improve.
Force majeure & unforeseen events
In case of natural disasters, political unrest, or pandemics, we offer future travel credits or refunds where possible. We recommend comprehensive travel insurance to cover non-refundable expenses.
Respect those who carry
We are proud signatories of the Kilimanjaro Porters Assistance Project (KPAP). Our porters receive:
- Fair wages and tips distributed transparently
- Proper gear (warm jackets, boots, tents)
- Maximum load 15kg (international standard)
- 3 meals a day while on the mountain
"Our team is our family. We ensure they are treated with the same care as our guests."
