Rare sitatunga antelope, elephants, giraffes, hippos, chimpanzees (not fully habituated), pythons, crocodiles, and suni. Plus bird islands, breeding sites for waterbirds, and a spectacular mosaic of evergreen Congolese forest.
Flycatcher, Mchangani, Michicoco
Beautiful beaches like Flycatcher, Mchangani and Michicoco fringe the island. Cultural sites — “Ntungamirwe”, “Maji Matakatifu” (holy water), “Altare”, and “Solo” — tell the stories of natives who once lived here. Sunrise and sunset are equally clear and magnificent.
